Oh, Vancouver. I love your trees. I see them in all the shows I have watched so religiously over the years.

I started watching The Killing, because I flipped past it and went, it's RAY! Ray Kowalski!

There they were, my old friends, the trees.

jenna_thorn_lj this show is so not for you.

They do have some beautiful trees! I was so excited a few years back when I was re-watching an old X-Files episode and recognized the orchard from Scarecrow. I think they're actually pecan trees or something? Anyway, they're pretty distinctive, and I love connections like that between shows. The fact that Ava and Ash were in the XF episode was gravy.

I suspect anything called "The Killing" I can let slide, sight unseen.

Dare I ask?

It's the Killing of Rosie Larson. From the AMC website:

The Killing ties together three distinct stories around a single murder including the detectives assigned to the case, the victim's grieving family, and the suspects. Set in Seattle, the story also explores local politics as it follows politicians connected to the case. As the series unfolds, it becomes clear that there are no accidents; everyone has a secret, and while the characters think they've moved on, their past isn't done with them.
