The wee one asked me for a sweater like Top Secret from knitty (my first sweater) that I knit a billionty years ago.  Anyone want to chime in with little girl sizing math?

From a Yahoo answers group:

On September 23, 1998 a third shift worker at a paper bag factory in Chico, California at 2:25 a.m. decided to innovate a new taste sensation-for security purposes, I am not allowed to reveal his name.

The best thing about finishing and posting Big Bang is the luxury of reading others. I have a dozen tabs open and I am so excited.

For posterity

2 oz tomato juice
2 oz vegetable Juice - V8, for example
2 oz Clamato juice
1 oz vodka
Dash Worcestershire
Dash pickle juice
Dash hot sauce - I like green habanero
Squirt of wasabi mustard
Dash soy sauce
Celery Salt

Increase exponentially.

When I make these for the parade on the 4th, I start with 16 oz of the juices.

The Comet cafe starts with Guinness for a base and a bacon stir stick.

I have given this Some Thought.

Himself and I are having a discussion about art and who decides what is 'art'.

I can't find the words to explain how poleaxed I was to stand in front of a Caravaggio. To weep on seeing the Pieta. To explain why I like Brancusi and Kandinsky and not so much Van Gogh. That Rembrandt makes me breathless. Why I like Nancy Randall's Cicadas. Why I have a Calder print (okay, two) in my office.

It's Belmont day. All the talk about triple crown and near triple crown winners, and no one's mentioned Charismatic. Charismatic won the Derby and the Preakness in 1999. Chris Antley, his jockey, pulled him up in the Belmont in the final furlong when he heard his leg snap. Charismatic was sold to a breeder in Japan where he has thrown champions. He was a rags to riches story like California Chrome, I can't help but cheer for the favorite.

Since last I updated...

I have a different job at McCorporation with a nice man who has international responsibilities and that means I get a lot of email overnight. My desk is several storeys up from where it was and I have a window. This is all good news, except for the part where I have forgotten how to juggle chainsaws, and must relearn time management skills.

Wednesday and I spent Friday evening in the backyard pool (don't get excited. It's big but shallow and above ground-like). Saturday we planted the straw bales with too many tomatoes. Pictures to follow if it ever stops raining here.

Thinking maybe I can stay awake long enough to make more BB words, you are all in my thoughts and I ain't dead, yet.

I apologize for my once-again prolonged absence. My boss - best boss in the history of the world - let me know he was planning to retire about a month ago, and it's been a crazy scramble to get things reorganized or completed, or delegated. Today is his last day, and I am very sad, more than a little uncertain, and unlikely to get my BB draft in on time. It's cold and raining, probably a reflection of my mood. Aren't you glad you stopped by?

Standing in my boss's office yesterday, we got buzzed by an enormous bird that ended up perched on the roof of the next building - slightly below us. It was a turkey buzzard, which I took as an omen to update. Ain't dead yet.

The original librarian movies are cheese on a cheese base with cheese sauce and a sprinkle of cheese to garnish. Now, with a side of Christian Kane. Did someone say "singing sword"?

Thanks to Betty WINOLJ, I found and bought Breyers Lactose free vanilla ice cream. It's been years since I could eat ice cream without some unpleasant side effects, but this stuff is magical. It's really really ice cream. ♥
